Astreya recently marked a significant milestone—the first anniversary of its Hyderabad facility. Over the past year, this strategic hub has played a vital role in driving innovation, automation, and enterprise IT excellence. To celebrate this achievement, Astreya hosted Confluence 2025, a two-day event filled with recognition, cultural performances, team-building activities, and leadership insights.

Day One: A Festive Start with Culture and Recognition

The first day of celebrations was all about fun, engagement, and showcasing Astreya’s vibrant workplace culture. The energy was electric, with employees, senior leadership, and teams coming together to celebrate the milestone.

The event kicked off with a traditional South Indian lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing a bright future for the Hyderabad facility.

The decor showcased South Indian traditions, with beautiful floral arrangements enhancing the space. CEO Romil Bahl and Chief Human Resources Officer Louise Winstone fully embraced the occasion by wearing traditional Indian attire, a gesture warmly appreciated by the team. Their garments were custom-designed to their exact specifications by a friend of Hari Krishna Adepu, a member of the event’s organizing committee.

Recognition and Awards

Following the opening remarks, Astreya honored key contributors:

  • Vendor Recognition (R&R): Two vendors—TTK Services Hyderabad and SkyPass—were recognized for their support and services.
  • Employee Recognition (R&R): Awards were distributed based on Astreya’s core values, with 31 employees receiving recognition. The awards were split into two segments, presented by Krishnadas Menon, HR VP for APAC, and Kolukuluru Pavani, HR Business Partner III. Employees shared their journeys, thanked their teams, and reflected on their achievements.

Cultural and Team-Building Activities

Astreya’s commitment to inclusivity and cultural appreciation was on full display with two incredible dance performances:

  • A classical Bharatanatyam dance by Aniksha Chennamaneni, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage.
  • A fusion of Bharatanatyam and hip-hop dance performed by Aniksha Chennamaneni and Manish Cheepa, blending tradition with contemporary styles.

The second half of the day focused on interactive team-building events, where employees were divided into six teams. Each team was challenged to:

  • Create a team name and design a logo, explaining their significance.
  • Participate in a ramp walk competition, where members strutted down a carpeted catwalk, fashion-show style. The teams were split into two groups, led by Romil and Louise, with Louise’s team emerging victorious.
  • Icebreaker games, including a “Grab the Cup” challenge, where leaders faced off in a reflex-based game, and a musical balloon burst game, bringing out everyone’s competitive spirit.
  • Ad Jingle Contest, where teams created jingles incorporating their team names.
  • Hyderabad Office Launches Annual Newsletter
The much-anticipated newsletter was unveiled by Romi Bahl, Louise Winstone, and Krishnadas Menon. This company-wide publication will highlight key updates and achievements from the Hyderabad office, keeping employees informed and engaged.
